Welcome to the official site of the online 2014 LMA ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONS CONTEST. You may have noticed that you are now on the Newspaper Toolbox website who is partnering with LMA to host this contest in order to make your contest entry experience an enjoyable one. This system also allows LMA to electronically archive all entries and make them available for review.

How does it work? It’s as easy as 1-2-3.

  • Step 1 – Account Set-up:
    Even if you entered this contest last year or entered a previous LMA contest, you need to Create a New Account specifically for this current contest.

    Click on Create an Account Now in the login area on the left. You will be asked to fill in the name of your company, appropriate entry classification and all contact information. You will only need to enter this information once regardless of how many categories you choose to enter for this contest. Upon submitting your account information, an email will be sent to you from contests@localmedia.org to confirm your temporary username and password. Remember this username and password can be changed at any time by simply clicking on My Account.

  • Step 2 – Understanding Your Entries Page:
    When you log in for the first time with your temporary username and password, you will end up on your entries page. This page is the one you will refer to whenever you want to submit new entries, edit contest entries that have already been submitted, upload files or proceed to the payment of these entries. Submitted entries can be modified up to the contest entry deadline – not after the deadline has passed.

  • Step 3 – Submitting Entries:
    Simply follow the step-by-step instructions for submitting each entry and uploading your material(s). There are several acceptable file formats available for you to upload your entries.     Note: This online contest entry system is designed to make the process of entering contests quicker, easier and less costly than the previous method of mailing ‘hard-copy’ material. It also allows LMA to electronically archive all entries and make them available for review. We sincerely hope you take advantage of this new technology to enter this and other LMA contests throughout the year.


    OBJECTIVE OF THIS CONTEST:
    The Local Media Association Advertising & Promotion Contest awards recognize outstanding contributions to the quality of advertising in local media companies, as well as the promotional and marketing programs implemented by these media companies.

    The objectives of this contest are to provide acknowledgment for the advertising and promotional achievements of the suburban and community newspaper industry and, by such acknowledgment, to stimulate even higher standards of excellence throughout the industry. This contest also serves to focus attention on suburban and community publications and their unique position among modern communications media, thereby contributing to the prestige and credibility of suburban and community newspapers and their digital properties with the reading public, advertising community, and the newspaper industry in general.

    WHO SHOULD ENTER:
    Publishers, Advertising Directors, Retail Advertising Managers, Classified Managers and Marketing/Promotions Managers and Directors

    ELIGIBILITY:
    This contest is open to Local Media Association members and non-members. All entries must have been published by your local media company between May 1, 2013 – May 31, 2014.

    DEADLINE:
    All online entries must be submitted by end of day Wednesday, July 16, 2014.
